Bettina Kiefner

 

Bettina Kiefner was born on 31st December, 1960 in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, North Germany. She made her first acquaintance with the recorder at the age of 8 in her primary school in Kiel-Ruffee. She later moved to Münster where she took further studies in recorder with Frau Kieling at the Music School Münster. Here she met Elisabeth Book and together they played in Frau Kieling's Recorder Quartet. When in Bremen in 1995, she became a member of Blue Monday where she made a significant contribution to the group's musical capabilities.
Bettina Kiefner is a mother of three children and is also a practising doctor of medicine. Her favourite colour is blue and she never says, "No!" to paprika.
