Robert White  (1530-1574)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Robert White [or Whyte] was an English composer who died of the plague; wrote church music (chiefly but not entirely to Latin texts), and also wrote music for viols, etc. Married Ellen Tye, probably a daughter of the composer Christopher Tye.
