According to the Internet source given below, Harry Warren [Salvatore Anthony Guaragna] was an American musician, composer and songwriter of Italian descent. He taught himself drums, accordion and piano and also sang in a church choir. His first hit was Rose of the Rio Grande (1922) to be followed by other standards such as Home in Pasadena (1923), So This Is Venice (1923), I Love My Baby (My Baby Loves Me (1925). He was the director of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) between 1929 and 1933. Harry Warren also wrote musicals both for film and stage.
