According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Christopher Tye was an English composer who became a clergyman in the newly reformed Church of England. Wrote notable church music in Latin and English, including settings of the Acts of the Apostles in his own metrical rhymed English translation. Also wrote In Nomines.
