 Hans Salter (1896-1994)

According to the Internet source given below, Hans Salter was Austrian composer born in Vienna. After being He studied composition with Alban Berg, Franz Schreker at the Vienna Academy of Music. He was Music Director of the State Opera in Berlin and composed for the UFA studios before emigrating to America in 1937. He worked at Universal Studios for nearly 30 years, arranging, composing, conducting, and serving as musical director. He composed for other studios and for television, and was nominated for a number of Academy Awards, including Christmas Holiday and This Love Of Ours. His work includes two of the best known Frankenstein horror films, The Ghost of Frankenstein and The House of Frankenstein.
