Lewis Muir was a pianist and composer of popular music with a number of ragtime titles. He is said to have performed in St Louis (1904), New York (1910) as well as in London. His Waiting for the Robert E. Lee (1912), of which there are both vocal and instrumental versions, is much recorded. Also of particular ragtime interest is his Chilly Billy Bee Rag (1910).
