George L Lowry is another obscure ragtime era composer of which nothing is presently known. His two known works were published by an Jos. W. Stern & Co., New York. Whether he was an American, an immigrant, black or white is still to be determined. The name could also be a pseudonym. Of ragtime interest is his Florida Rag (1905).
