According to the Internet source given below, Harvey Worthington Loomis was a pupil of Antonín Dvorák at the National Conservatory in New York. He was prolific as a composer, with a number of successful works for the stage. Some of his works draw on Amerindian themes, as in his Lyrics of the Red Man, written in 1903 and 1904.
