For such a relatively prolific composer of popular music, it is a little surprising than virtually nothing is known about Stephen R. Henry. Some 40 odd works are attributed to him written between 1900 and 1923. In the ragtime world he is perhaps best known for his That Raggedy Rag (1912) and Indianola (1917), also published as a song.
