According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Giles Farnaby was an English composer living in London. Wrote music for virginals, including pieces with picturesque titles e.g. "A Toy", "Giles Farnaby's Dream"; also canzonets, madrigals, psalm tunes.
Giles Farnaby has an "Almande" published in Suite From the Royal Wind Music of King James I and a further "Almande" in The Recorder Consort.
