Pedero de Escobar  (? - 1513/14)
Last updated: 02.04.23
According to the Internet source given below, Pedero de Escobar was a Spanish composer. Choirmaster at Seville cathedral in 1507; one of the best Spanish composers of church music in the reign of Ferdinand and Isabella. His music, though simple and rather old-fashioned in style, has great intensity. (A certain amount of confusion exists regarding his works, as there were a number of composers called Scobar or Escobar in Spain at that time.)
