Charles [Neil Moret] Daniels was an American publisher and composer of popular music. Born in Kansas City he served as editorial director of Jerome H. Remick Music Co, in Detroit, and later as President of Villa Moret Music Publishers, San Francisco. He was responsible for discovering and publishing a vast number of ragtime composers and composed some rags himself. He is perhaps best known today for his Hiawatha (1901) and is considered by many to have started the "Indian Intermezzo" craze.
