Edward Clark Jr.
Last updated: 01.02.24
All that can be gleaned about Edward Clark Jr. is taken from the sheet music cover of his only known composition, Rags and Tatters which he published himself in Poultney, Vermont. He got a mention in Trebor Jay Tichenor's That American Rag: The Story of Ragtime from Coast to Coast where it was pointed out that the splendour of a New England countryside was equally able, even in isolation, to inspire the lyrical flow and folk flavour of a classic rag as witnessed in the Midwestern states such as Missouri with their wide variety of talent.
