 E.K. Bennett

E. K. Bennett is another of those American ragtime era composers only known from the covers of their published works. He appears to have had Midwest connections as his only presently known works were published in St. Louis, Missouri and Cincinnati, Ohio respectively. This suggests too that there were connections to the prestigious Baldwin Piano Company of Cincinnati which acquired Ellington Pianos as a subsidiary soon after they were established. Of ragtime interest is his The Banjo Rag (1909).
