According to The Oxford Companion to Music, Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach was born in Leipzig and died in Bückeburg aged sixty-three. He was Johann Sebastian Bach's sixteenth child and ninth son. He held various musical posts and composed chamber music; keyboard sonatas and concertos, symphonies etc. A fair amount of his music exists in modern editions.
