 Pierre Attaignant  (c1494-c1551)

According to The Oxford Companion to Music, Pierre Attaignant [Attaingnant] of Paris was a publisher and the first to introduce the printing of music to France whereby his publications are important and numerous. He is considered to be an old authority on dances publish two important books in 1529-1530.
