Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni was, according to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, an Italian violinist and composer of works of Concerto Grosso type; also more than 40 operas etc. Johann Sebastian Bach studied, and adapted from, his music. An adagio ascribed to him is principally the work of his biographer, Remo Giazotto (b. 1910).
Albinoni has a Prelude copied in Manuscript Music Book.
