Questionable
Fanning's interpretation of Nielsen's life and work is sketchy and unrevealing, possibly due to the lack of research or the authors arrogance. This highly sexually repressed writing (in the Freudian sense) contradicts itself on many levels throughout! Possibly this is due to the author's inability to fulfil to his many calls in life to the full extent. This could be just due to the company he keeps theses days, but the impotent ideas which he conveys are flaccid in the full sense of the word. A firmer grasp of the English language would have created a more potent result. Protection of the vast need of the mind to run away during the writing and reading of this book would not have been needed due to the flaccidness of the pen. Perhaps David should reconsider his perception on his ideas of music for how he will need his strength for a few more years due to his appetite for writing.
